        "content": "<p>The Denpasar City Government has signed a cooperation agreement with\nPT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 3. This agreement concerns the\nutilisation of a portion of the Land Management Right (HPL) area within\nthe Benoa Port complex for the construction of a Waste-to-Energy (PSEL)\nfacility.<\/p>\n<p>The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Minister of Environment,\nMoh Jumhur Hidayat, and the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster. The\nagreement was signed by the Head of the Denpasar City Environmental and\nCleanliness Service (DLHK), Ida Bagus Putra Wirabawa, and the Acting\nExecutive Director 3 of PT Pelindo, Daru Wicaksono Julianto.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe presence of this facility is expected to serve as a long-term\nsolution for urban waste management, while simultaneously supporting the\nrealisation of Denpasar as a clean, healthy, comfortable, and\nenvironmentally conscious city for both current and future generations,\u201d\nstated the Mayor of Denpasar, I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara, in a written\nstatement on Wednesday (10\/06\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Under the agreement, Pelindo Regional 3 will provide the use of HPL\nland within the Benoa Port area, covering an area of approximately\n60,502 square metres. The PSEL facility to be constructed will be used\nto support the accelerated development of more effective and\nenvironmentally friendly urban waste management infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Environment Jumhur Hidayat expressed his support for the\nregional government in Bali regarding waste management and environmental\npreservation, particularly as the waste management approach integrates\nlocal wisdom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn approach that combines government policy with local wisdom values\nis Bali\u2019s primary strength in building community awareness,\u201d said\nJumhur.<\/p>",
