AMA, the Indonesian Management Association, is a professional\norganisation established in 1989 that serves as a learning space and\nnetworking hub for Indonesian management practitioners.<\/p>\n
The award was presented during the AMA Indonesia Conference 2026,\nwhich adopted the theme \u201cFrom Management to Wealth Creation,\u201d focusing\non the evolving meaning of corporate leadership.<\/p>\n
AMA Indonesia assessed that, as President Commissioner, Denny JA has\ncontributed to expanding PHE\u2019s strategic horizons, driving professional\nand responsible decision-making, and strengthening the company\u2019s\nlearning and leadership ecosystem.<\/p>\n
However, in his speech, Denny JA urged participants not to view the\naward as the pinnacle of their journey, but rather as an opportunity to\nre-examine the meaning of leadership.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat is truly the duty of a corporate leader when times change so\nrapidly, technology leaps so far, and human needs continue to evolve?\u201d\nhe asked.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on the theme of wealth creation, Denny JA invited\nparticipants to consider one of the most dramatic business stories of\nthe modern era: Elon Musk and SpaceX.<\/p>\n
What is interesting about Elon Musk is not merely the scale of wealth\ncreated, but how that wealth was born from the creation of new\nvalue.<\/p>\n
For decades, space was primarily the domain of governments, defence\nagencies, and scientific projects that could only be undertaken with\nextraordinary costs.<\/p>\n
SpaceX helped transform that landscape, particularly through the\ndevelopment of rocket systems that allow primary components to return to\nEarth and be reused.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the past, most rockets were treated like matches. Used once, then\ndiscarded. Space travel was therefore incredibly expensive,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Imagine if every time an aircraft landed, that aircraft had to be\ndiscarded, and for the next flight, we had to build an entirely new\nplane.<\/p>\n
The principle of the reusable rocket changed that logic, helping to\nreduce launch costs while opening up the possibilities of a space\neconomy that was previously much harder to realise.<\/p>\n
This is where wealth creation finds its meaning.
