        "content": "<p>Dengue claims 35 lives<\/p>\n<p>PALEMBANG, South Sumatra: Thirty-five people died of dengue<br>\nfever in the province between January and July of this year, a<br>\nlocal official said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Zaini Saleh, head of the provincial health office&apos;s section on<br>\ncommunicable diseases control, said the worst-hit area was the<br>\nPalembang mayoralty, where 26 people died.<\/p>\n<p>The second worst stricken was Ogan Komering Ulu, where five of<br>\nthe several hundred people infected with dengue fever died,<br>\nAntara reported.<\/p>\n<p>Zaini said the disease infected more people than it did in the<br>\nsame period last year.
