The General Secretary of the Democrat Party, Herman Khaeron, has\nentrusted the matter of reshuffling or reorganising the Merah Putih\nCabinet to President Prabowo Subianto. According to Herman, Prabowo will\nultimately decide whether there will be any changes to his ministerial\nlineup.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter all, it is entirely the President\u2019s authority and prerogative.\nSo whether Mr President carries out a reshuffle or not, that is his\naffair,\u201d Herman stated at the House of Representatives complex in\nJakarta on Thursday, 16 April 2026.<\/p>\n
Herman believes this approach will enable Prabowo to focus on his\nrole as head of state. In the future, he hopes the outcomes of Prabowo\u2019s\nleadership will be felt by all Indonesians.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe leave it to him so that he can work comfortably and manage to\novercome various challenges in this development. And ultimately, in the\nfuture, Mr President can successfully lead this nation,\u201d Herman\nadded.<\/p>\n
Previously, Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya\nneither confirmed nor denied queries about any plans for a reshuffle in\nthe near term. He only asked the public to await official news on the\nreconfiguration of the President\u2019s aides.<\/p>\n
Teddy was again asked whether the cabinet reshuffle would take place\nin April 2026, but he declined to answer directly. He merely stated that\nPresident Prabowo would explain. \u201cLater, the President will tell the\nstory,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Rumours of a reshuffle have circulated several times since the\nbeginning of this year. Thomas\u2019s appointment automatically\nleft vacant the position of Deputy Minister of Finance, which he had\npreviously held.<\/p>\n
The news proved true when President Prabowo inaugurated former Deputy\nGovernor of Bank Indonesia, Juda Agung, to fill that role. Thomas and\nJuda swapped positions.<\/p>\n
