Jakarta \u2014 Demand from the public to participate in the Mudik Bersama\n(Joint Homecoming) programme run by the Danareksa State-Owned Enterprise\nHolding for 2026 has surged significantly.<\/p>\n
Yadi Jaya Ruchandi, Chief Executive Officer of PT Danareksa\n(Persero), stated that the total number of homecoming programme\napplicants has exceeded the available seating capacity.<\/p>\n
\u201cMore than 3,000 have registered, but only 1,900 could be verified,\u201d\nhe said when met at the Menara Danareksa office on Tuesday (17 March\n2026).<\/p>\n
He added that the majority of this homecoming programme is being\nparticipated in by the general public.<\/p>\n
Approximately 90 per cent of the free homecoming quota has been\nopened to the public, whilst 10 per cent is reserved for supporting\nprofessionals at state-owned enterprise offices, including contract\nworkers (outsourcing) through to office boys.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe participants consist of workers and traders at around 50 per\ncent, as well as members of the general public such as students and\nhousewives at around 80 per cent,\u201d said Yadi.<\/p>\n
The Mudik Bersama programme represents a commitment by the Danareksa\nState-Owned Enterprise Holding in supporting public mobility whilst\nsimultaneously providing a safer and more affordable travel alternative\nfor holiday travellers.<\/p>\n
Yadi explained that to ensure smooth travel, the organising committee\nhas prepared a total of 39 buses that will take holiday travellers to\nseveral destination cities on the island of Java, including Solo,\nYogyakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung; on the island of Sumatra such as\nPadang Sidempuan; and on the island of Sulawesi reaching the areas of\nSidrap and Bone.<\/p>\n
Subsequently, 14 buses departed from Jakarta today heading towards 10\ncities in the Central Java region, which is the epicentre of the\nnation\u2019s largest homecoming destinations, namely Brebes, Cirebon, Tegal,\nPemalang, Purwokerto, Kebumen, Semarang, Purworejo, Solo, and\nYogyakarta.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough this programme, the government together with state-owned\nenterprises hopes to help the public undertake an orderly, safe, and\ncomfortable homecoming journey, whilst strengthening togetherness in\nwelcoming the moment of Eid together with family in the hometown,\u201d said\nYadi.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, Gibran symbolically presented gift packages to\nrepresentatives of homecoming participants as a sign of government\nattention and support for those returning to their hometowns.<\/p>\n
Gibran also chatted with homecoming travellers from inside a bus\nwhilst wishing them a happy Eid for those participating.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe pray that all homecoming participants arrive safely at their\ndestinations, greetings to family in the hometown, may everything go\nsmoothly,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He advised that with less than a week until Eid, road conditions\nwould be congested. Therefore, holiday travellers were urged to always\nbe careful and maintain their health.<\/p>\n
