        "content": "<p>Delay oath-taking of 51 legislators: NGOs<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: A coalition of non-governmental organizations <br>\ndemanded on Thursday that the General Elections Commission (KPU) <br>\ndelay the installation of 51 legislators implicated in graft <br>\ncases, pending the final verdict on their cases.<\/p>\n<p>The NGOs, grouped under Coalition Against Rotten Politicians, <br>\nsaid in a joint statement that the legislators, who had been <br>\ndeclared suspects by police or were currently standing trial for <br>\ngraft cases, were not trustworthy enough to sit as legislators.<\/p>\n<p>\"If the KPU insists on giving the go-ahead for their swearing-<br>\nin, our local council will be a breeding ground for corruption,\" <br>\nIbrahim Fahmi Baduh of Indonesian Corruption Watch (ICW) said. -- <br>\nJP<\/p>",
