Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin has reminded members of the\nReserve Component (Komcad) from the civil servant (ASN) sector to be\nwary of various influences that could weaken the Indonesian government\u2019s\nbureaucratic system.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have previously mentioned that there are enemies within, namely\nparties that do not want the bureaucracy in Indonesia to be strong. In\nfact, you are trained so that the bureaucracy becomes strong and serves\nas an example,\u201d said Sjafrie while providing briefing to 1,773 civil\nservants who are to be inaugurated as Komcad members at Halim\nPerdanakusuma Air Force Base, East Jakarta, on Wednesday, 3 June\n2026.<\/p>\n
Sjafrie stated that Komcad civil servants have a responsibility to\nstrengthen the bureaucracy and act as role models in their respective\nworkplaces after completing their Komcad training. According to him,\nthere are parties, both from abroad and within the country, who do not\nwish to see the Indonesian bureaucracy develop and grow stronger.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople from outside do not want the bureaucracy in Indonesia to be\nstrong. There are even people within Indonesia whom we refer to as the\n\u2018deep state\u2019,\u201d he said. However, Sjafrie did not elaborate further on\nthe parties referred to in his statement.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that Komcad civil servants need to strengthen their\npersonal capacity, nationalism, and patriotism as preparation for\nperforming their duties as state apparatus. He noted that the values\nacquired during Komcad training must serve as the foundation for\nmaintaining integrity and professionalism in the workplace. By\nprioritising nationalism and professionalism, Komcad civil servants are\nexpected to deliver their best performance for the public interest while\nsimultaneously strengthening the government\u2019s bureaucratic system.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne thing you must pay attention to is vigilance. Do not allow\nyourself to be influenced by conflicting ideologies, because our\nideology is clearly Pancasila. Our politics is clearly the 1945\nConstitution of the Republic of Indonesia,\u201d said Sjafrie.<\/p>\n
A total of 1,773 civil servants participating in the Komcad training\nare from various government agencies in Jakarta. Previously, they were\nreleased by the Head of the Defence Reserve Agency of the Ministry of\nDefence, Lieutenant General TNI Gabriel Lema, at Halim Perdanakusuma Air\nForce Base, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (22\/4).
