However, if the commander lacks courage, the\ntroops will merely seek safety.<\/p>\n<p>Garut (ANTARA) - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has urged regional\nheads in regencies and cities to be courageous in organising their\nterritories to ensure they are orderly, clean, and beautiful to support\ntourist visits.<\/p>\n<p>Dedi Mulyadi stated that leadership courage is necessary to mobilise\nvarious agencies, including the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP),\nin enforcing local regulations and maintaining environmental order.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the commander has the nerve and is brave, the troops will become\na brave force. However, if the commander is not brave, the troops will\nseek safety,\u201d said Dedi during the destruction of 44 million illegal\ncigarettes at Garut Square on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that urban planning to maintain cleanliness, order, and\nenvironmental beauty is part of the duty of the Satpol PP as enforcers\nof local regulations.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the character of personnel in the field is\ninfluenced by the leadership of their superiors; therefore, regional\nheads need to provide firm support for regional planning tasks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause the troops depend on the commander,\u201d said the former Regent\nof Purwakarta.<\/p>\n<p>These efforts, he added, should be carried out through coordination\nand collaboration with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and\nthe National Police (Polri).<\/p>\n<p>He assessed that well-organised regions can increase local original\nrevenue (PAD) by encouraging growth in the tourism, hospitality, and\nrestaurant sectors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAreas that serve as tourist destinations must be organised, orderly,\nand beautiful,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Dedi cited the Garut Square area as an example, which possesses\npotential beauty through urban planning, including the presence of\ncolonial-era buildings in its vicinity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am standing in a very aesthetic place, provided that all spaces\nand territories are organised and tidied up,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
