"content": "<p>Jakarta, Kompas.com \u2013 East Jakarta residents observing fasting on\nFriday, 6 March 2026, have entered the sixteenth day of Ramadhan 1447\nHijri. As dusk approaches, Muslims usually wait for the time to break\nthe fast by referring to the imsakiyah schedule which guides Ramadhan\nactivities. Each region has its own imsak schedule, including East\nJakarta. Kompas.com provides information on imsak, breaking the fast,\nand prayer times daily until the end of Ramadhan. Here are the\nbreaking-fast and prayer times for those in Jakarta: 16 Ramadhan 1447 H,\nFriday East Jakarta. The government, through the Ministry of Religious\nAffairs, set the start of fasting for 1 Ramadhan 1447 Hijri as falling\non Thursday, 19 February 2026. This decision was taken after the Isbat\nsession held at the Kemenag Office, Jakarta, on Tuesday afternoon, 17\nFebruary 2026, chaired by Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar.\nThis year the start of Ramadhan was not synchronous, because\nMuhammadiyah began fasting on Wednesday, 18 February 2026. This\ndifference does not diminish the validity of the worship, and all\nMuslims are urged to respect one another. The Isbat session involved\nvarious Islamic organisations, falak experts, and astronomical\ninstitutions, and was conducted with an integrated method of hisab and\nrukyatul hilal to maintain uniformity while respecting the differences\nin methods evolving in society.<\/p>",
