        "content": "<p>Jakarta - Deputy Speaker of the House Sufmi Dasco Ahmad stated that\nissues concerning wages and the outsourcing system can now be reported\ndirectly to the Task Force (Satgas) for Mitigating Layoffs (PHK) and\nWorker Welfare.<\/p>\n<p>Dasco conveyed this during a meeting with a group of protesting\nworkers marking International Labour Day or May Day 2026 in front of the\nparliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday (1\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the task force was established by the government\ntogether with labour unions to accelerate the handling of various labour\nissues that have often dragged on.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the presence of labour representatives within the\ntask force will facilitate access to information and speed up responses\nto incoming reports.<\/p>\n<p>Dasco revealed that several labour groups have reported that a number\nof companies plan to conduct layoffs in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are several companies that, within two months or three months,\nhave plans for PHK. This has already been entered into the Satgas desk\nfor Mitigating PHK and Worker Welfare to be anticipated immediately,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Dasco added that the government is also open to providing assistance\nto companies facing difficulties so that they do not lay off\nworkers.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Dasco said, the government can take further steps if the\ncompanies are no longer able to survive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEarlier, the President also stated that if those companies are\nindeed facing difficulties, they will be assisted or even taken over if\nthey are no longer able to operate, so that workers still have a place\nto work,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Previously reported, President Prabowo Subianto stated that he has\nissued a Presidential Regulation (Perpres) on the Task Force for\nMitigating Layoffs (PHK) and Worker Welfare.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrothers and sisters.
