        "content": "<p>PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 2 Bandung has revealed that\n233,872 train tickets for the 2026 Lebaran exodus were sold out by 12\nMarch 2026. The total capacity comprised 345,840 seats, averaging 15,720\nseats per day.<\/p>\n<p>The Director of Operations at PT KAI, Awan Hermawan Purwadinata,\nstated that KAI Daop 2 Bandung had prepared 345,840 seats. The total\nincluded 28 train journeys daily, consisting of 24 regular train\nservices, two additional Lodaya trains, one additional\nKiaracondong-Surabaya Gubeng service, and one additional Kutojaya\nSelatan train.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrain ticket sales during the Lebaran transport period from the Daop\n2 Bandung region have reached 233,872 tickets, or approximately 67.6 per\ncent of the total capacity provided,\u201d he said following a staff briefing\nat the KAI Daop 2 Bandung office on Friday (13 March 2026).<\/p>\n<p>He noted that a promotional ticket programme offering a 30 per cent\ndiscount also received strong public support, with a total of 54,462\npromotional tickets sold.<\/p>\n<p>Awan continued that several trains recorded the highest sales during\nthis year\u2019s Lebaran transport period, including the Kahuripan train, the\nadditional Kiaracondong-Surabaya Gubeng service, the Cikuray train, the\nKutojaya Selatan train, the Malabar train, and the Harina train.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that the high public interest in train travel demonstrates\nthat rail remains the primary choice for people travelling during the\n2026 Lebaran exodus and return. KAI, he said, has undertaken\ncomprehensive preparations and ensured all services operate safely and\nreliably throughout the exodus and return periods.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough this 2026 Lebaran transport command post, KAI declares full\nreadiness to serve customers who will celebrate Eid al-Fitr 2026 with\ntheir families,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that in the KAI Daop 2 Bandung region there are 54 stations\nserving train journeys during the 2026 Lebaran transport period.\nAdditionally, ticket cancellation services are available at five\nstations.<\/p>",
