The AI initiative is part of a broader transformation strategy being\nprepared jointly by Danantara and the State-Owned Enterprises\nSupervisory Agency, known as BP BUMN.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe third year will focus on innovation and the adoption of AI\ntechnologies,\u201d Dony told reporters at the Finance Ministry in Jakarta on\nWednesday.<\/p>\n
His remarks outlined the latest framework for a five-year\nrestructuring plan aimed at improving the performance and\ncompetitiveness of Indonesia\u2019s state-owned companies.<\/p>\n
The first year of the roadmap will focus on consolidating and\nrestructuring state-owned enterprises to strengthen their financial and\noperational foundations.<\/p>\n
The second year will shift toward developing talent and strengthening\ncorporate culture after the consolidation phase is completed, Dony\nsaid.<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing consolidation, the second year\u2019s priority will be talent\ndevelopment and corporate culture,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The third year will emphasize innovation, digital transformation and\nbroader adoption of AI across state-owned enterprises to improve\nefficiency and competitiveness.<\/p>\n
In the fourth year, Danantara will focus on value creation, including\nevaluating strategic partnerships, initial public offerings and\nbusinesses that should remain privately held.<\/p>\n
Those decisions will be made in coordination with Indonesia\u2019s Finance\nMinistry as part of efforts to optimize returns from the state-owned\nenterprise portfolio, Dony said.<\/p>\n
The fifth and final year will target stronger financial performance,\nsupported by annual profit goals aligned with the agency\u2019s long-term\nstrategic vision.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will begin with vision and mission development, then establish\nannual performance and profit targets to measure progress,\u201d Dony\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Danantara and BP BUMN are finalizing the roadmap as a blueprint to\ncreate healthier, more competitive and value-driven state-owned\nenterprises.<\/p>\n
The strategy is designed to accelerate reforms across business\nfundamentals, talent development, technology adoption and global\ncompetitiveness.<\/p>\n
The government ultimately aims to build Indonesian state-owned\ncompanies capable of competing internationally, with some expected to\njoin the ranks of the Fortune 500.<\/p>\n
