        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 Danantara\u2019s Operational Director Dony Oskaria has revealed\nplans to start the railway line electrification project on 20 May 2026\nfor the Jakarta-Cikampek, Jakarta-Sukabumi, and Jakarta-Cilegon routes.\nDony, who also serves as Head of the BUMN Agency, stated that the\nelectrification of the railway lines aims to revitalise new cities along\nthe routes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year, precisely on 20 May, we will conduct the groundbreaking\nfor the electrification of Jakarta-Cikampek, Jakarta-Sukabumi, and also\nJakarta-Cilegon,\u201d Dony said when met on the sidelines of the Jakarta\nGlobe Insight event held in Jakarta on Tuesday (28\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the electrification of railway lines is believed to\nreduce pollution and improve efficiency in rail transport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy carrying out electrification, this reduces urbanisation,\u201d Dony\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the electrification of railway lines becomes one of the\nmain performance indicators (Key Performance Indicator\/KPI) of the\nrailway industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI always say that railways only have two KPIs.
