Going forward, the\ntrust is targeted to receive at least 1% of the dividends from\nstate-owned enterprises (SOEs) managed by Danantara Indonesia annually.\nThe funds will be directed towards supporting sustainable social\nprograms in healthcare, education, culture, and water, sanitation, and\nhygiene (WASH). CEO of Danantara Indonesia and Trust founder Rosan\nRoeslani stated, \u2018We aim to allocate at least 1% of the total dividends\nreceived from all state-owned enterprises each year,\u2019 during the launch\nof Danantara Indonesia Trust\u2019s strategic partnership in Jakarta, as\nreported by Antara on Monday, 25 May 2026. He noted the institution was\nestablished as a credible, professional, transparent philanthropic\nentity with strong governance. He added that Danantara Indonesia is\ncollaborating with the Gates Foundation to develop institutional\nframeworks and strengthen philanthropic governance. \u2018How we make\nDanantara Trust a credible, relevant, and transparent institution with\nhigh governance,\u2019 he said. Danantara Indonesia Trust was officially\nestablished in October 2025 as Danantara Indonesia\u2019s philanthropic unit,\nmandated to drive sustainable social development impact in Indonesia.\nThe institution is expected not only to distribute funds but also act as\na catalyst and ecosystem enabler to strengthen cross-sector social\ncollaboration. \u2018We hope this is just the beginning. Chair of\nDanantara Indonesia Trust, Nuraini Razak, said the organisation is\nbuilding governance systems, organisational structures, oversight\nmechanisms, and a monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) framework\nto ensure program effectiveness. \u2018We believe this long-term mandate can\nbe credibly executed if built with robust governance from the outset,\u2019\nNuraini added. She added that Danantara Indonesia Trust is actively\nengaging with sovereign wealth funds, philanthropic organisations, and\nnational and global development partners to strengthen collaboration\nmodels. In its first partnership, the institution allocated\napproximately Rp250 billion for maternal and child health programmes,\nincluding hexavalent vaccine procurement, strengthening vaccine cold\nchain infrastructure, and micronutrient supplements for pregnant and\npostpartum women. Additionally, a collaboration with the Karya Salemba\nEmpat Foundation includes a three-year scholarship programme for around\n500 underprivileged students.
