Danantara Indonesia Chief Operating Officer (COO) Dony Oskaria has\nemphasised transparency in the governance of PT Danantara Sumberdaya\nIndonesia (DSI), a state-owned enterprise (BUMN), regarding the export\nof national strategic commodities.<\/p>\n
\u2018We have made it very clear that at PT Danantara Sumberdaya\nIndonesia, we will ensure the company operates with sound governance,\ntransparency, and accountability,\u2019 Dony said at a press conference in\nJakarta on Sunday.<\/p>\n
DSI has been assigned by the government to manage and oversee\ntransactions involving strategic natural resource commodities, initially\nfocusing on coal, crude palm oil (CPO), and ferro alloy.<\/p>\n
DSI will operate in two phases. During the first phase from 1 June to\n31 December 2026, it will act as an evaluator and intermediary between\nsellers and buyers of specific export commodities.<\/p>\n
Dony highlighted the government\u2019s prudent approach in implementing\nDSI, following a transition period starting Monday (1 June) until the\nend of this year.<\/p>\n
\u2018The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto,\nmade it clear that the government is being prudent in implementing this\nprogramme due to a transition period of approximately seven months from\n1 June to 31 December,\u2019 Dony said.<\/p>\n
The man, who is also the Head of the BUMN Regulatory Agency, added\nthat transparency in DSI\u2019s governance is crucial for its implementation\nto proceed according to the government\u2019s plans and targets.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, during the transition period until the end of 2026, Dony\nconfirmed that DSI will engage in detailed dialogue with stakeholders,\nincluding commodity entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
\u2018We also hope that the existence of Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia\nwill benefit commodity entrepreneurs,\u2019 Dony said.<\/p>\n
