        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, who\nalso serves as CEO of Danantara, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, projects that\nthe entire series of national downstreaming projects will create new\nemployment opportunities for around 600,000 people in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we look at the projects we are running, they will create jobs for\napproximately 600,000 people,\u201d said Rosan while reporting on the 13\nsecond-phase downstreaming projects that were symbolically initiated by\nPresident Prabowo Subianto in Cilacap, Central Java, as quoted from a\nvideo broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta on\nWednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Rosan explained that the creation of these jobs is part of the\ngovernment\u2019s efforts to optimise the added value of state assets through\nmassive industrial development.<\/p>\n<p>The construction process in this second phase is being carried out\nsimultaneously at 13 strategic project sites, following the successful\ncompletion of the first phase in early February at 11 different\nlocations.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the second-phase downstreaming projects include the\nconstruction of gasoline refinery facilities in Cilacap and Dumai, as\nwell as coal processing facilities into Dimethyl Ether or DME in Tanjung\nEnim.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the construction of stainless steel manufacturing,\nnickel manufacturing, carbon steel slab, copper and gold downstreaming,\niron ore, and asphalt production.<\/p>\n<p>In the agriculture sector, these include the development of palm oil\nprocessing into oleofood products as well as biodiesel, and\ndownstreaming of coconut and nutmeg products.<\/p>\n<p>The first-phase downstreaming projects include the alumina smelter in\nWest Kalimantan, bioavtur in Central Java, bioethanol, and industrial\nsalt processing in East Java.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, some constructions from integrated chicken farming in\nvarious locations across Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Rosan emphasised that Danantara is not just a state asset manager,\nbut also functions as a catalyst for national economic\ntransformation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause our mandate is to create added value, optimise assets,\ncreate efficiency, and of course, as a state investment to provide the\ngreatest possible benefits for the Indonesian people,\u201d said Rosan.<\/p>",
