Danantara Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria stated that the\nagency is currently studying options for the future of the national\nairline industry. \u201cWe are also currently assessing the possibility of\nDanantara establishing its own leasing company, and so forth,\u201d he said\nfollowing a meeting with Commission VI at the House of Representatives\n(DPR) building in Jakarta on Wednesday (10\/6\/2026). Dony, who also\nserves as Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency (BP\nBUMN), revealed the plan after delivering the latest update regarding\nthe purchase of 50 Boeing aircraft by PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk\n(GIAA). Dony explained that for the fleet procurement, the agency will\nconsider various scenarios to find the most profitable arrangement,\nincluding aspects related to timing, business models, and leasing\nstructures. Nonetheless, Dony confirmed that Danantara Indonesia and\nGaruda Indonesia will uphold the commitment made between Indonesia and\nthe United States. \u201cOf course, there are many considerations.
