Danantara CEO and Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, Rosan\nPerkasa Roeslani, plans to provide numerous incentives for electric\nmotorcycles. One of the measures to be introduced is the ability to\npurchase an electric motorcycle on credit with a zero per cent down\npayment.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Danantara is also considering providing incentives to\nelectric motorcycle companies, such as funding with lower interest rates\nand longer loan tenors.<\/p>\n
\"Danantara is ready to support through our banking sector by\nproviding funding with lower interest rates, longer tenors, and we will\ntry to eliminate the down payment which currently still stands at 10 per\ncent,\" Rosan stated during the launch of the National Electric\nMotorcycle in Cikarang, West Java, on Thursday (13\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
According to Rosan, waiving the down payment will help accelerate\nelectric motorcycle sales and boost production in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
\"So that public interest in buying electric motorcycles can grow\nquickly and smoothly, and accelerate electric motorcycle production,\" he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Rosan noted that the potential for electric motorcycles in Indonesia\nis enormous. There are currently approximately 140 million motorcycles\nin Indonesia, with annual purchases ranging between 6 and 7 million\nunits. However, electric motorcycle sales only account for 60,000 to\n70,000 units of that total, a figure that needs to be significantly\nincreased.<\/p>\n
