        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2014 CEO of the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment\nManagement Agency and Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan\nRoeslani stated that the groundbreaking of 13 national downstreaming\nprojects in phase II, valued at Rp116 trillion, marks the initial step\nin accelerating value-added economic transformation domestically.<\/p>\n<p>The statement was made following the official laying of the\nfoundation stone for the project by President Prabowo Subianto in\nCilacap, Central Java, on Wednesday (29\/4).<\/p>\n<p>According to Rosan, the management of state assets is now directed as\na catalyst to strengthen national industrialisation, while also\npromoting resource-based economic independence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is part of efforts to build value added domestically, while\nstrengthening the national industrial structure,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The President, on the same occasion, emphasised that downstreaming is\nthe main foundation in enhancing national economic welfare.<\/p>\n<p>The 13 projects whose construction has begun include the development\nof a gasoline refinery in Dumai and Cilacap, the construction of\noperational fuel tanks in Palaran, Biak, and Maumere, as well as\ndimethyl ether (DME) production facilities in Tanjung Enim.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the projects also cover the development of nickel-based\nstainless steel industry in Morowali, carbon steel slab production in\nCilegon, to copper and gold downstreaming in Gresik.<\/p>\n<p>In the agroindustry sector, developments include processing palm oil\ninto oleofood and biodiesel in Sei Mangkei, processing nutmeg into\noleoresin, and integrated coconut facilities in Central Maluku.<\/p>\n<p>The government assesses that these projects will strengthen the\nnational industrial ecosystem, increase production capacity, and open\nnew job opportunities in various regions.<\/p>\n<p>This step is also expected to reduce dependence on raw material\nexports while increasing the contribution of the processing industry\nsector to the national economy.<\/p>",
