PT Danantara Investment Management (DIM), together with PT Daya\nEnergi Bersih Nusantara (Denera), has named eight selected partners for\nthe second phase of the waste-to-energy (PSEL) project development and\nmanagement. The selection covers eight locations encompassing 20\nregencies and cities, with the appointment of partners remaining\nconditional and subject to the fulfilment of all applicable procurement\nrequirements.<\/p>\n
Director of Investment at DIM and Chief Executive Officer of Denera,\nFadli Rahman, stated in Jakarta on Monday that all selection stages were\nconducted objectively, based on good governance principles and with\nreference to international best practices. Fadli explained that the\nassessment covered project credentials, financial capability, speed of\nimplementation and commercialisation, strategic aspects and risk\nmanagement, as well as long-term commitment and execution experience in\nIndonesia. To ensure the independence and quality of the process,\nindependent technical, legal, and commercial advisors were appointed to\noversee the entire evaluation.<\/p>\n
The eight selected partners for the second phase of the PSEL projects\nare: SUEZ-IAN Consortium for the Medan Raya project; Consortium\nEverbright Cemerlang Energy for Bekasi Regency; Bumi Biru Indonesia for\nLampung Raya; Masa Depan Energi Indonesia for Serang Raya; Veolia\nEnvironmental Services Asia Pte. Ltd for Semarang Raya; Consortium\nMentari Citra Lestari for Surabaya Raya; MPM-CEVIA Consortium for Bogor\nRaya 2; and Cakra Energi Lestari Consortium for Yogyakarta Raya.<\/p>\n
Of the eight selected partners, four consortiums are led by\nIndonesian companies, two by French companies, and two by Chinese\ncompanies. Fadli noted that all consortiums are partnering with\ninternational technology providers to accelerate project implementation\nwhile promoting technology transfer and strengthening the national\nindustry. From a pool of 85 shortlisted providers, 68 applications were\nreceived for the eight locations, and each location now has a selected\npartner and a reserve partner. The selected partners will receive a\nConditional Letter of Award and will be formally appointed as the\nproject developers and operators once all conditions are met, with the\nreserve partners serving as an alternative mechanism.<\/p>\n
Following the issuance of the Conditional Letter of Award, each\nselected partner must fulfil requirements to obtain the Final Letter of\nAward, including completing a mutually acceptable feasibility study,\nfinalising the project structure, establishing a joint venture company,\nand securing financing approvals.
