        "content": "<p>PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk is strengthening its support for the\ngrowth of startups in Indonesia through participation in the Japan-ASEAN\nStartup Business Matching Fair 2026 and the signing of a Letter of\nIntent (LoI) with several strategic partners. Chief Strategy Officer\nReza Iskandar Sardjono stated that the company\u2019s involvement in the\nevent is part of an effort to build connectivity between the Indonesian\nstartup ecosystem and Japan through synergy with the MUFG Global\nNetwork. \u201cThrough synergy with the MUFG Global Network, we want to\nprovide broader access for Indonesian startups to meet global investors\nand corporations,\u201d Reza said in a statement received in Surabaya on\nSaturday. He explained that the LoI was signed with the Ministry of\nCommunication and Digital, Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri), Krungsri\nFinnovate, and MUFG Innovation Partners as a form of strengthening\ncross-country collaboration in developing the ASEAN-Japan startup\necosystem. The collaboration is also supported by the presence of the\nMUIP Garuda Fund, a corporate venture fund resulting from cooperation\nbetween MUFG Innovation Partners, MUFG, and Danamon with a total\ninvestment commitment of 100 million US dollars, focusing on the\ntechnology and financial technology (fintech) sectors. According to\nReza, the presence of this investment fund is expected to expand the\nconnectivity of Indonesian startups with the global ecosystem while\nopening up more sustainable collaboration and investment opportunities.\nIn this year\u2019s event, the Japan-ASEAN Startup Business Matching Fair\n2026 facilitated more than 500 business matching sessions involving over\n90 startups from six countries, including Indonesia, as well as 140\nglobal companies and investors. In addition to business matching\nsessions, participants also took part in startup pitching, exhibitions,\npanel discussions on regional trends and investment, and networking\nsessions to strengthen cross-country business collaboration.
