DAMRI has recorded increasing booking trends for Eid 1447 H/2026
homecoming tickets in recent days. Based on ticket booking data as of
Tuesday 10 March at 15:00 WIB, several departure dates approaching the
peak homecoming period are showing rising seat occupancy rates for the
Intercity and Inter-Provincial Transport Service (DAMRI).

Several departure dates with relatively low seat occupancy include 30
March–1 April 2026 and 21–22 March 2026, each remaining below 30%
capacity. This situation provides an opportunity for citizens to plan
their homecoming and return journeys with greater flexibility.

Meanwhile, ticket bookings are showing increased demand approaching
the peak homecoming period. The highest occupancy rates have been
recorded on 17 and 18 March 2026, with seat occupancy reaching
approximately 57%.

Overall, DAMRI is providing more than 220,000 seats during the Eid
transport period, allowing citizens to retain the opportunity to select
more flexible travel schedules.

P. Septian Adri S., Head of Corporate Communication at DAMRI, stated
that the wide availability of seats offers an alternative for citizens
to choose more comfortable travel times.

“DAMRI invites citizens to take advantage of departure dates with
lower seat occupancy rates so that homecoming journeys can be planned
with greater flexibility and comfort,” he said.

He added that the flexibility of homecoming travel times this year is
also supported by government policy regarding Work From Anywhere (WFA)
and collective leave arrangements for Eid al-Fitr 2026, which provide
citizens with the opportunity to adjust their travel times either
earlier or after the peak homecoming period.

Based on these policies, the WFA scheme before Eid is applied on
16–17 March 2026, whilst WFA after Eid runs on 25–27 March 2026. This
policy allows citizens to continue working from other locations without
being required to be at the office.

“With the WFA policy and collective Eid leave, citizens can plan
their homecoming journeys more strategically. For example, earlier
travel can be undertaken during 11–15 March 2026 before the peak
homecoming period, whilst still taking advantage of WFA on 16–17 March.
Meanwhile, the return journey can also be undertaken after the peak
period by selecting dates from 30 March until early April, which
currently still has relatively low seat occupancy rates,” Septian
explained.

This more flexible travel planning is expected to help citizens avoid
congestion during the peak period whilst providing more journey schedule
options.

During the 2026 Eid transport period, DAMRI is preparing 1,800 buses
with a target of serving up to 2.7 million passengers nationwide.

DAMRI urges citizens to plan their journeys well in advance and make
ticket bookings online through the DAMRI Apps or website damri.co.id to
make the ticket purchase process easier, safer, and more convenient.
",
