        "content": "<p>Damaged banknotes<\/p>\n<p>From Kompas<\/p>\n<p>In answer to a letter regarding the withdrawing of salaries<br>\nfrom BRI in Kompas on July 1, 1994 we would like to inform the<br>\npublic that those who happen to hold damaged\/burnt banknotes can<br>\nchange their money at Bank Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>If after scrutiny the money proves to be genuine a change will<br>\nbe made based on the following:<\/p>\n<p>a. A 100 percent exchange for overused banknotes.<\/p>\n<p>b. A 50 percent exchange for banknotes which have 50 percent or<br>\nless of their surface damaged or burnt. No exchange will be made<br>\nfor banknotes with more than 50 percent damage.<\/p>\n<p>c.
