Daewoo to invest in RI<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): South Korea's leading Daewoo Group will send a
\nspecial delegation to Indonesia to sound out the possibility of
\nestablishing joint venture companies here.<\/p>\n
The group's president, Kim Woo-Choong, told visiting
\nIndonesian State Minister of Investment Sanyoto Sastrowardoyo in
\nSeoul over the weekend that the possible sectors that Daewoo will
\nwork on are automotive and chemical industries as well as
\ninfrastructure.<\/p>\n
Kim was quoted by Antara on Saturday that his company has been
\neying Indonesia as the site for its investment expansion.<\/p>\n
He assured that Daewoo's presence in Indonesia will smoothen
\nthe transfer of its technology.<\/p>\n
After the meeting, Kim invited Minister Sanyoto to visit
\nDaewoo's automobile assembling facilities in Inchon, 60
\nkilometers west of Seoul.<\/p>\n
Today, Sanyoto is scheduled to speak before a seminar in
\nSeoul, which is organized by Indonesia's Investment Coordinating
\nBoard and the Indonesia-Korea Joint Committee.<\/p>\n
Before visiting South Korea, Sanyoto held a series of
\ninvestment promotion activities in Taiwan. (rid)<\/p>",
