The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) has stated that\nthe customs bill which must be paid by Tiffany & Co, amounting to\nRp97.49 billion, will fall due at the end of June 2026.<\/p>\n
Director of Communication and Service User Guidance at DJBC, Nirwala\nDwi Heryanto, said the audit process for the luxury jewellery company\nhas been completed.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, it has been audited. That is why it reopened for business\nyesterday. Because the Minister (Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa) is very\nsupportive of entrepreneurs who wish to operate in a compliant manner,\u201d\nNirwala said when met in Jakarta on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
As is known, Customs issued a Customs Determination Letter for\nRp97.49 billion. This amount consists of administrative sanctions in the\nform of a fine of Rp78.50 billion and other tax and customs obligations\nof approximately Rp18.99 billion, covering import duty, value-added tax\n(VAT), and income tax (PPh).<\/p>\n
\u201cThe due date is the end of this month,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
Three Tiffany & Co outlets that were previously sealed have now\nresumed operations. The seals were removed after the customs audit was\ncompleted and there was no longer any need to restrict access to the\noutlets.<\/p>\n
The three outlets are located at Plaza Senayan, Plaza Indonesia, and\nPacific Place in Jakarta.<\/p>\n
It was previously reported that Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi\nSadewa removed the seal on the Tiffany & Co outlet at Plaza\nIndonesia after the company declared its willingness to fulfil the\ncustoms obligations set by the government.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe party concerned has committed to complying with all applicable\nstatutory provisions,\u201d Purbaya said.<\/p>\n
Tiffany & Co had previously been subjected to sealing action by\nDJBC in relation to violations concerning the import of undeclared goods\nand the non-settlement of customs obligations.<\/p>\n
