        "content": "<p>A customs officer, Aditya Waskita Jauhari, died while on duty\nconducting supervision of export cargo loading in the waters of Tanjung\nButon, Siak Regency, Riau, in the early hours of Monday (7\/7). The\ndeceased was an officer with the Pekanbaru Customs and Excise\nOffice.<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred while Aditya and a joint team were carrying out\na physical inspection of the cargo (final draft) of MV, Himala V.195.\nThis inspection is an official customs supervision procedure for the\nexport commodity Palm Kernel Shell in Bulk submitted by the\nexporter.<\/p>\n<p>During the service and final measurement process in the water area,\nthe pompong boat carrying the team encountered an incident amid strong\ncurrents, causing the vessel to capsize and sink.<\/p>\n<p>A joint SAR team immediately conducted a rescue and search operation\nat the scene. Most of the passengers were successfully evacuated safely,\nbut Aditya Waskita Jauhari was found deceased.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Customs and Excise Public Relations and Outreach\nSub-directorate, Budi Prasetiyo, expressed deep sorrow and condolences\nover the officer\u2019s passing. \u201cWe have lost one of the nation\u2019s best sons\nwho fell while carrying out the state\u2019s mandate. May all his good deeds\nand dedication be accepted by Allah SWT, and may the family left behind\nbe granted strength, fortitude, and sincerity,\u201d Budi stated.<\/p>\n<p>Budi affirmed that Customs and Excise is fully committed to providing\nthe best support for the deceased\u2019s family and is coordinating closely\nwith relevant parties in handling the aftermath of this incident.
