        "content": "<p>The Head of the Banda Aceh Customs Office, Rahmat Priyandoko,\nattended the destruction of Group I narcotic evidence in the form of\nmethamphetamine weighing 4,989 kilograms at the Aceh Provincial National\nNarcotics Agency (BNNP) Office on Thursday (16\/4\/2026). The\nmethamphetamine was destroyed by being placed into a shredding machine\n(blender) mixed with alcohol and cleaning fluid. After becoming a\nmixture liquid, the methamphetamine was placed into jerry cans and then\ndisposed of into the drainage system to ensure it could not be used\nagain. The destroyed evidence resulted from a narcotics enforcement\naction conducted in Bireuen Regency. The enforcement began with\ninformation from the public regarding suspected narcotics shipments in\nBireuen Regency. Based on the investigation results, BNNP Aceh officers\nconducted mapping and sweeps at points suspected to be drug trafficking\nroutes. From the enforcement action, officers secured suspects with\ninitials MM and B on the Medan-Banda Aceh Trans-Sumatra Highway,\nspecifically in Keude Lapang Village, Gandapura Subdistrict, Bireuen\nRegency. In addition, officers secured evidence in the form of one\nvehicle unit and five packages of narcotics disguised in Chinese tea\nplastic wrappers. The actions of MM and B, who have been designated as\nsuspects, are charged under Article 114 Paragraph (2) in conjunction\nwith Article 132 Paragraph (1) of Law No.\u00a035 of 2009 on Narcotics, in\nconjunction with Article 609 of Law No.\u00a01 of 2023 on the Criminal Code,\nin conjunction with Law No.\u00a01 of 2026 on criminal adjustments. Rahmat\nstated that this destruction is a manifestation of transparency and\naccountability to the public, and is carried out in accordance with the\nmandate of Law No.\u00a035 of 2009 on Narcotics regarding seized goods that\nhave been designated for destruction. He emphasised that the presence of\nCustoms at this destruction demonstrates synergy among agencies in\neradicating dark drug circulation in the Aceh region. \u201cThrough this\ndestruction, we are committed to protecting the public from the dangers\nof narcotics,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>",
