        "content": "<p>Minister of Culture Fadli Zon has urged content creators,\nparticularly the younger generation, to continue producing and promoting\ncontent about Indonesian culture, history, museums and cultural heritage\nin the digital space.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are the people we hope will also become cultural ambassadors,\npart of advancing our culture, part of the fighters for our culture and\ncivilisation,\u201d Fadli said at the Awards Night for the Winners of the\n\u201cAku dan Budayaku\u201d Creative Video Content Competition at the National\nMuseum of Indonesia in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Fadli said the digital space plays an important role in introducing\nIndonesian culture to the public because developments in information and\ncommunication technology have enabled various information about culture\nand civilisation to spread widely.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd we hope that our digital spaces are also filled with our\nculture, and that museums and cultural heritage sites will see\nincreasing numbers of visitors from the public,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He assessed that the winners of the creative video content\ncompetition have the ability to create content that can serve as a means\nof promoting culture.<\/p>\n<p>Fadli said Indonesia\u2019s cultural wealth provides a very broad source\nof material for content creators.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia, he said, has 1,340 ethnic groups and 718 languages.\nMeanwhile, the number of nationally registered and designated cultural\nheritage sites currently stands at 743, while intangible cultural\nheritage totals 2,727.<\/p>\n<p>He cited the collection of the National Museum of Indonesia, which\namounts to around 190,000 items. That number, he said, can serve as a\nsource of material for creators to introduce various cultural relics to\nthe public.<\/p>\n<p>Fadli also highlighted the importance of narrative in the creation of\ncultural content so that the information conveyed remains engaging and\ninformative.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed hope that the \u201cAku dan Budayaku\u201d creative video content\ncompetition can become a regular activity and encourage more young\npeople to become involved in advancing culture.<\/p>\n<p>Fadli also expressed appreciation for participants who did not\nreceive awards and encouraged them to continue producing works that\nhighlight the cultural wealth of their respective regions.<\/p>",
