The US Department of\nthe Treasury\u2019s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced on\nThursday that D\u00edaz-Canel, several other individuals, and five entities,\nincluding the Cuban Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, have\nbeen added to the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list. Previously,\nTrump suggested that the US could shift its focus towards Cuba once the\nconflict with Iran subsides. In a post on the social media platform X,\nD\u00edaz-Canel stated that these US measures are \u201caimed at strengthening the\nblockade and a scenario of conflict between Cuba and the US.\u201d He added\nthat the \u201ccoercive measures\u201d implemented in recent weeks against Cuba\nare designed to harm the Cuban people, and that the \u201caggressiveness and\ncriminality\u201d of the US Government would be met with Cuban determination\nto \u201cface the worst-case scenario and resist imperialist attacks.\u201d Cuban\nForeign Minister Bruno Rodr\u00edguez also stated on Thursday that the\ninclusion of D\u00edaz-Canel and other Cuban entities on the sanctions list\n\u201cis the latest evidence of US interventionist plans to portray Cuba as a\nthreat to United States national security.\u201d Writing on X, Rodr\u00edguez\nasserted that US actions intended to \u201cbuild a scenario of conflict\u201d\nbetween the two nations \u201cwill surely fail.\u201d<\/p>",
