Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Founder & Chairman CT Corp Chairul\nTanjung (CT) spoke as a speaker in an education class during Jogja\nFinancial Festival at the Jogja Expo Center, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta,\non Saturday (23 May 2026). According to CT, an entrepreneur is someone who can see, seize, and\ncreate opportunities.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, the question is, if we look at opportunities and there are\nnone, what do we seize? Create opportunities. So the principle of\nentrepreneurship is to be able to see opportunities and to seize them,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf there are no opportunities, you must be able to create\nopportunities. That is what we call an entrepreneur. If someone can talk\nand says, \u2018this is a good opportunity\u2019, but cannot seize it, then that\nperson is a consultant,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
However, CT said the opportunities taken do not guarantee success\nbecause they can also fail.<\/p>\n

Therefore, according to CT, if we experience failure, then ask\noneself about the causes of the failure. The hope is that the failure\nwill not recur.<\/p>\n
Moreover, CT said, wise people always say that failure is an\nopportunity or delayed success if the person involved is willing to\nlearn from failure. If they are not willing to learn from failure, then\nit becomes delayed failure.<\/p>\n
