Crowd kills man for motorcycle<\/p>\n
BOGOR (JP): Angry villagers fatally beat a man in West Cilebut
\nvillage, Sukaraja subdistrict, Bogor, on Thursday evening after
\nhe failed to deliver a motorcycle.<\/p>\n
Witness Nanih Arsawi said the dispute began last Friday when
\nRebby Aditya, 24, agreed to sell a motorcycle to Tabroni alias
\nUntung.<\/p>\n
\"The transaction was done in Pondok Terong village of Bojong
\nGede. Tabroni even gave Rp 1 million (US$ 125) as the down
\npayment,\" Nanih told The Jakarta Post on Friday.<\/p>\n
\"Until Wednesday, however, Rebby failed to deliver the
\npromised motorcycle to Untung.\"<\/p>\n
Nanih said Tabroni and Engkos spotted Rebby on Thursday at
\nabout 10 a.m. near Kencana village. They followed him until
\nBojong Jengkol hamlet in West Cilebut.<\/p>\n
\"They were then involved in a heated quarrel as Tabroni
\naccused Rebby of cheating him. I asked them to settle the dispute
\nat the house of a nearby neighborhood unit chief, Uci Sanusi,\" he
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
\"At Uci's house, Rebby said both Tabroni and Engkos had abused
\nhim. Uci said he would take them to the village office.\"<\/p>\n
Rebby tried to flee on the way to the office, Nanih said.<\/p>\n
Villagers took his action to be proof of his guilt. They
\ncaught him and beat him.<\/p>\n
Rebby was badly injured when officers from the Kedung Halang
\nPolice subprecinct arrived at the scene. He died several hours
\nlater at the Bogor PMI hospital. (21\/nvn)<\/p>",
