Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya stated that the\nimplementation of the 2026-2045 Creative Economy Master Plan (Rindekraf)\nwill certainly involve regional governments in executing priority\nagendas for the development of the national creative economy industry.\n\u201cBecause this is indeed our function to orchestrate with regional\ngovernments. So, of course, the role of regional governments is very\nimportant, the role of associations or communities is also very\nimportant, and the role of academics, media, and including financial\ninstitutions is very important in the implementation of this Rindekraf,\u201d\nRiefky said during a press conference on the Rindekraf 2026-2045 in\nJakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
He said the Rindekraf will become a guideline for regional\ngovernments to set policy directions and institutional arrangements to\ndevelop programmes that can advance the creative economy potential in\ntheir regions. Riefky stated that the programmes to be run will be\nadjusted according to the budget available in each regional government.\n\u201cWe are currently holding trilateral discussions with the Ministry of\nFinance and Bappenas under the direction of the President. And of\ncourse, if that can be done, it can be implemented starting from the\nsecond semester of this year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He said the Rindekraf also includes funding to develop the quality of\nregional creative economies through three flagship programmes. The three\nprogrammes are the activation of creative villages in their respective\nareas fostered by regional governments, ministries\/agencies, or private\nsector programmes, and Creative Hubs for providing medium-term certified\ntraining facilities with skill enhancement, assistance for intellectual\nproperty registration, as well as market access and funding. \u201cIndeed,\nthis Presidential Regulation on Rindekraf does not mean everything is\nfinanced by the central government. But it serves as a guide when they\nwant to run or develop the creative economy sector in their regions,\u201d\nRiefky said.<\/p>\n
Riefky stated that with the Rindekraf, collaboration between the\ncentral and regional governments can expand opportunities for local\nintellectual property to become a driving force for the national\neconomy, contributing to exports and attracting investment.
