        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Minister of Creative Economy\/Head of the\nCreative Economy Agency (Bekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, discussed\nopportunities for collaboration in efforts to monetise local creative\nworks with representatives from the US Alumni Association.<\/p>\n<p>During a meeting with the ALUMNAS delegation at the Ministry of\nCreative Economy office in Jakarta on Monday (11\/5), he stated that the\ngovernment is striving to assist creative business actors in developing,\nbecoming empowered, and self-reliant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany young Indonesians have already produced creative IPs. The\ncurrent challenge is how to monetise those IPs and develop them into\nsustainable creative economy products,\u201d he said, as quoted in the\nministry\u2019s press release on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasised the need for collaboration to enhance the capacities of\nbusiness actors, expand market access, and develop intellectual property\n(IP) in efforts to monetise local creative works.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, business subsectors such as film, design,\npublishing, animation, and souvenirs can be interconnected to increase\nadded value and expand the market reach of local creative works.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe eight Asta Ekraf sectors open up many collaboration\nopportunities. It just requires mapping which sectors are most potential\nfor joint development,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Jimmy stated that some SMEs still require support in the form of\ncuration facilitation, mentoring, and financing to develop their\nbusinesses.<\/p>\n<p>As an organisation encompassing diverse professions, he said ALUMNAS\nis ready to support the implementation of business actor mentoring\nprogrammes, business forums, and young talent development in efforts to\nadvance the national creative economy.<\/p>",
