        "content": "<p>The issue of equal employment opportunities for people with\ndisabilities has received a positive boost from the tobacco industry in\nCentral Java. The HS cigarette factory, located in Muntilan, Magelang,\nis committed to embracing individuals with disabilities as productive\nworkers without burdensome requirements, while also providing adequate\nhousing facilities.<\/p>\n<p>To date, 21 employees with disabilities have joined and are working\nin the rolling section. This step is taken by the company to break the\nchain of stigma and administrative barriers that have long been faced by\nthe disabled group when seeking a decent livelihood.<\/p>\n<p>Tika (35), a disabled employee from Temanggung, admitted to having\ndifficulty penetrating the job market before finally being accepted at\nthe factory. \u201cIt was very difficult to find work before. I applied to\nmany places, but always failed,\u201d Tika said on Tuesday (7\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Similar joy was expressed by Tenyria Swastika (35). According to her,\nthe company not only provides jobs but also respect and mobility support\nfacilities. \u201cHere I feel valued. Not differentiated, everyone is treated\nthe same. Thank you for the opportunity and all the facilities in the\nform of mess housing given to us,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>CEO of Surya Group Holding Company and owner of the HS cigarette\nbrand, Muhammad Suryo, emphasised that his side is opening its doors as\nwide as possible to people with disabilities from all over Indonesia. He\nguaranteed that the recruitment process is carried out without work\nexperience requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will accept people with disabilities in any number. Even if they\nhave no experience, we will accept them,\u201d Suryo stated.<\/p>\n<p>Suryo added that providing mess facilities or free housing is a\ncompany priority to assist workers, especially those from out of town or\nwith physical mobility limitations.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the company is undergoing a major expansion by building\nnew factories in two strategic locations, namely Yogyakarta and Lampung.\nThis business expansion is expected to increase the absorption of\nlabour, particularly from the disability group in those areas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor friends with disabilities throughout Indonesia who want to join,\nwe happily accept them.
