        "content": "<p>The Bandar Lampung City Government is conducting water spraying\nacross several major protocol roads that have been covered in volcanic\nash due to the continuous eruptions of Mount Anak Krakatau (GAK) since\nSaturday (5\/9).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have ordered the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD)\ntogether with the Fire and Rescue Service (Damkarmat) to carry out water\nspraying on several sections of protocol roads,\u201d said the Mayor of\nBandar Lampung, Eva Dwiana, in Bandar Lampung on Sunday (6\/9\/2026), as\nquoted by Antara.<\/p>\n<p>Eva stated that the spraying is being performed to dampen the\nvolcanic dust adhering to the road surfaces, which is considered a\ndisturbance to road users.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is hoped that through this spraying, the airborne volcanic dust\nfrom GAK can be reduced, minimising the disturbance to the community and\nroad users,\u201d she said. Additionally, Eva has urged officials in every\nsub-district to conduct data collection of the areas affected by the\nvolcanic ash.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cData collection is being carried out to determine the distribution\nof the affected areas and to serve as a basis for the government in\ndetermining further handling measures,\u201d she added.<\/p>",
