        "content": "<p>Court: Adiwarsita must remain in jail<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday upheld<br>\nthe detention by prosecutors of two corruption suspects, House of<br>\nRepresentatives member Adiwarsita and his alleged accomplice,<br>\nH.A. Fattah.<\/p>\n<p>The detention of the suspects was lawful as it was based on<br>\npreliminary investigations into a graft case involving more than<br>\nRp 54.6 billion (US$6.06 million) in reforestation funds, Judge<br>\nEdi Joenarso ruled.<\/p>\n<p>In reply, Adnan Buyung Nasution, a lawyer for Adiwarsita and<br>\nFattah, said their clients would appeal to the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>Adwarsita, a House member from the Golkar Party who formerly<br>\nchaired the Indonesian Forestry Business Association (APHI), and<br>\nhis former deputy, Fattah, were detained on Dec. 22, 2004, by the<br>\nAttorney General's Office (AGO) for questioning over the case.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects challenged their detention, claiming it was not<br>\nwell-grounded in law. --Antara<\/p>",
