Couple caught for carrying hashish<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A woman and her boyfriend were caught red-handed
\nin Tangerang Saturday morning with three kilograms of dried
\nhashish in their bags, police said.<\/p>\n
The widow of four children, Mag, 45, and boyfriend Kam, 47,
\nsaid they were ordered by another man by the name of Si to bring
\nthe hashish from Medan, West Sumatra, to Jakarta.<\/p>\n
"The hashish would be sold for around Rp 1.8 million per
\nkilo," Mag said.<\/p>\n
Mag said she was paid Rp 1.2 million (US$500) to do the job.<\/p>\n
The couple traveled from Pematang Siantar by ALS bus to
\nJakarta. After their arrival, both took a President Taxi to
\nCawang, East Jakarta.<\/p>\n
They were nailed by police on a routine check of cars and
\npublic vehicles. Police said the couple were nervous when they
\nwere being searched.<\/p>\n
City Police spokesman Lt. Col. E. Aritonang confirmed the
\narrest, saying that police were now trying to trace the hashish
\ndistributing network in both cities.<\/p>\n
"We already have several names and we'll continue the
\ninvestigation," Aritonang said. (04)<\/p>",
