Councillors' performance<\/p>\n

Although the councillors in Jakarta have been given an
\nofficial car each, they have not improved their performance as
\nthey had vowed. So far 10 of those cars have undergone repairs
\nbecause of collision or other reasons.<\/p>\n
The councillors had insisted that the cars were necessary to
\nsupport their work. But if you observe the council's parking lot,
\nyou will notice that not all the official cars are there.<\/p>\n
So the question is: Where are those cars? Moreover the cars'
\nlicense plates, which were once red, have been changed to black,
\nwithout consent from the authorities. (Note: official cars have a
\nred license plate and private cars have a black license plate)<\/p>\n
So, I suggest the councillors restore the cars' original
\nlicense plates. If they are ashamed of using the red license
\nplates, they should return the cars.<\/p>\n
The councillors must remember that they should be setting a
\ngood example to the public, and not breaching the law.<\/p>\n
Even more frustrating is the fact that some councillors seldom
\nattend the council meetings or even plenary sessions, and they
\nare not rebuked for their truancy.<\/p>\n
We strongly hope that in future councillors behave more
\nprofessionally because all the facilities they need for their
\nwork have been provided.<\/p>\n
