        "content": "<p>Council to approve bylaw<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: City Council is scheduled to approve a bylaw on<br>\ntransportation on Thursday amid differences among councillors on<br>\nthe issue.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the steering committee on the draft bylaw, Ali Imran<br>\nHusein, said that councillors have yet to agree on the Public<br>\nTransportation Executive Board (BPAU) as stated in the bylaw.<\/p>\n<p>The committee has excluded the board from the bylaw because it<br>\nwould serve only as the legal basis for the administration to<br>\nimplement the busway project.<\/p>\n<p>\"We don't see any point in including the board in the bylaw as<br>\nit can be decided through gubernatorial decree,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>Other issues which will be included in the transportation<br>\nbylaw are the Jakarta Transportation Council and the integrated<br>\ntransportation system in the city which is supported by land,<br>\nriver, lake and ferry transportation. -- JP<\/p>",
