        "content": "<p>The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has stated that a case of\nalleged corruption within the Bengkulu City Government is related to the\nmanagement of medical waste. \u201cThat is one of them,\u201d said Acting Director\nof Investigations at the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein, to journalists in\nJakarta on Tuesday (28\/7). However, Taufik could not yet explain in\ndetail the investigation into the alleged corruption, which is a\ndevelopment of a suspected bribery case within the Rejang Lebong Regency\nGovernment. \u201cWe will update you as soon as possible because the team is\nworking,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the KPK arrested 13 people in a sting operation related\nto suspected project bribery within the Rejang Lebong Regency\nGovernment, Bengkulu. On 11 March 2026, the KPK named five suspects in\nthe case: Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari; Head of the\nPublic Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas Agency of\nRejang Lebong, Hary Eko Purnomo; Irsyad Satria Budiman from PT Statika\nMitra Sarana; Edi Manggala from CV Manggala Utama; and Youki Yusdiantoro\nfrom CV Alpagker Abadi. The five suspects are alleged to have been\ninvolved in bribery related to project brokering within the Rejang\nLebong Regency Government for the 2025\u20132026 fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p>On 20 July 2026, the KPK announced the development of the\ninvestigation into the case but had not yet named any suspects. On 26\nJuly 2026, the KPK revealed that it had searched several locations in\nBengkulu City, including the offices and homes of private parties\nengaged in medical devices and waste management, as well as the home of\nthe Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency of Bengkulu\nCity, Noprisman. From the search, investigators found evidence in the\nform of Rp4 billion in cash at Noprisman\u2019s residence. The KPK stated\nthat the search was related to an investigation into alleged corruption\ninvolving state officials or officials within the Bengkulu City\nGovernment.<\/p>",
