        "content": "<p>Corruption courts await decrees<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Chief Justice Bagir Manan said on Monday the Supreme<br>\nCourt was waiting for two presidential decrees that would<br>\nestablish a special court to hear corruption cases.<\/p>\n<p>The decrees being prepared are a decree on a corruption<br>\ntribunal and another on an ad hoc corruption court, which are to<br>\nbe set up at the Central Jakarta District Court.<\/p>\n<p>He said the establishment of an ad hoc corruption tribunal was<br>\na realistic target, as it would take a long time to set up a<br>\npermanent corruption court.<\/p>\n<p>Either court will have the authority to try high-profile<br>\ncorruption cases, such as that involving Aceh Governor Abdullah<br>\nPuteh.<\/p>\n<p>Bagir said he had submitted draft decrees to the President<br>\nlast week. \"It is our experience that the President always<br>\napproves our suggestions,\" he said. -- JP<\/p>",
