        "content": "<p>Malang, East Java \u2014 Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan has\nguaranteed that the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) will fully\nabsorb all chicken egg production from smallholder farmers.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during a dialogue session with smallholder poultry farmers\nin Kambingan Village, Tumpang District, Malang Regency, East Java, on\nTuesday, Zulkifli Hasan \u2014 commonly known as Zulhas \u2014 said every chicken\negg procured by the SPPG would be used to support the raw material needs\nof the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEggs alone require 82.9 million per day \u2014 there is no need to worry,\nchicken eggs will certainly be absorbed by the SPPG,\u201d Zulhas said.<\/p>\n<p>The requirement of 82.9 million chicken eggs corresponds to the\ntarget of 82.9 million MBG programme beneficiaries in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Zulhas added that the SPPG would likewise absorb the entire chicken\nmeat output from smallholder farmers to meet MBG raw supply needs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChicken meat requires 82.9 million portions per day,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed optimism that the SPPG would deliver a positive impact\non the livelihoods of smallholder poultry farmers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFarmers must profit, because this poultry business is fundamentally\na people\u2019s enterprise, not a conglomerate\u2019s. The future is bright and\nradiant,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, Zulhas conveyed that the government now has a\nstrategy to increase chicken meat and egg production to meet the protein\nrequirements of tens of millions of beneficiaries, namely by developing\nintegrated poultry downstream processing.<\/p>\n<p>In the first phase, groundbreaking ceremonies have been held at six\nlocations: Malang Regency, South Lampung Regency, Bone Regency, Paser\nRegency, Gorontalo Regency, and Sumbawa Regency.<\/p>\n<p>The ecosystem being established encompasses strengthening poultry\nbreeding, from grand parent stock through parent stock and final stock\nto feed production.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCurrently, one egg is provided per week \u2014 chicken once or twice a\nweek is not permissible because the price could become uncontrollable.\nThat is why there is a mix, such as with fish,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
