        "content": "<p>The Salman Peduli Berkarya Foundation and Garuda Biru Foundation\norganised a technical briefing on food safety and breaking of fast\nattended by thousands of kitchen staff from Nutritional Fulfilment\nService Units (SPPG) across the greater Jakarta area in Bekasi, West\nJava. The event also marked the 42nd anniversary of Nofalia, founder of\nboth the Salman Peduli Berkarya and Garuda Biru Indonesia\nfoundations.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas), Chief\nSecretary of the National Nutrition Body (BGN) Brigadier General\n(Retired) Sarwono, Chairman of the Forum Alumni Activists of the Islamic\nStudents Association (FAAHMI) H Abdul Malik SE, and Lampung Regional\nSecretary H Wawan attended the event. Zulhas commended the activities of\nthe Salman Peduli Berkarya and Garuda Biru Indonesia foundations in\nsupporting President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s free nutritious meals (MBG)\nprogramme.<\/p>\n<p>According to Zulhas, during Ramadan 2026, the MBG programme continues\nwith adjusted menus consisting of dry foods that students can take home.\nSchool activities held at pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) have been\nshifted from daytime to evening to ensure students receive adequate\nnutrition. Zulhas stressed that the MBG programme demonstrates that\neconomic benefits are being realised across all segments of society,\nincluding the most vulnerable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe direction of national food policy is currently focused on\nreturning economic sovereignty fully to the hands of the people. The\nfood sector must serve as the primary foundation for development so that\nthe meaning of independence can truly be felt by all layers of society,\u201d\nsaid Zulhas in a press statement in Jakarta on Saturday (14 March\n2026).<\/p>\n<p>Zulhas also reflected on his lengthy support for President Prabowo,\nwhich has lasted 15 years. Despite navigating complex political\ndynamics, he stressed that the National Mandate Party\u2019s (PAN) support\nfor Prabowo has never wavered.<\/p>\n<p>The former chair of the People\u2019s Consultative Assembly (MPR)\nexpressed admiration for Prabowo\u2019s policies, which he said align closely\nwith the nation\u2019s founding ideals. According to Zulhas, Indonesia\u2019s\neconomy is now positioned as a means to achieve people\u2019s welfare rather\nthan merely pursuing growth figures.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese programmes and policies are intended to realign our\nindependence ideals.
