        "content": "<p>Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar,\nalso known as Cak Imin, has called for the transformation of pesantren\nthrough the strengthening of education.<\/p>\n<p>He believes that pesantren have a direct influence on the surrounding\ncommunity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPesantren were born to become centres of study and knowledge, not\nmerely places for religious recitation,\u201d Cak Imin said on Saturday\n(29\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPesantren must continuously recognise their obligation to position\nthemselves as centres of knowledge,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Cak Imin said he has conveyed this to President Prabowo Subianto. He\nstated that pesantren education can be one of the ways to break the\nchain of poverty in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI told the President that one of the doors to overcoming poverty is\npesantren,\u201d Cak Imin revealed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the ways to overcome poverty is through education.
