        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment\nAbdul Muhaimin Iskandar said the appointment of a new board of directors\nat the Social Security Agency for Health (BPJS Kesehatan) represents a\ncrucial momentum for carrying out a comprehensive transformation of the\ngovernance and services of the national health insurance scheme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is certainly a fresh spirit. While everything is new, let us\nset things up properly so that past incidents are not repeated,\u201d\nCoordinating Minister Muhaimin Iskandar said in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the dynamics that had caused concern in recent\ntimes have been resolved internally, and now is the time to use the new\nleadership as a starting point for structural reform.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasised that the key to restoring BPJS Kesehatan to good health\nlies in appropriate budget politics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet us transform BPJS Kesehatan to be even more advanced in the\ncoming years. No more deficits \u2014 too many of our challenges stem from\nthat \u2014 and the first thing we must fix is our budget politics. The right\nbudget policy, starting from contribution assistance for the poor (PBI)\nwith subsidies and accurate data. Then we begin with the right programme\nchoices, followed by participation and involvement,\u201d Muhaimin Iskandar\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>He also stressed that BPJS Kesehatan operates on a massive mutual\ncooperation model grounded in the constitution, in line with the mandate\nof Articles 33 and 34 of the 1945 Constitution concerning the Economic\nSystem and Social Security for All Citizens.<\/p>\n<p>This spirit of mutual cooperation, he said, must continue to be\nstrengthened through the participation of all stakeholders and the\nreinforcement of public ownership.<\/p>\n<p>In the context of transformation, Muhaimin Iskandar highlighted the\nimportance of data updating as the most urgent agenda item.
