        "content": "<p>Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK)\nPratikno is promoting the principle of link, match, and meaning in\nvocational education. This principle encompasses connections with\nindustry, alignment with workforce needs, and real impacts on society.\nThe goal is to make vocational-industry collaborations relevant to\nlabour market demands and beneficial for the community.<\/p>\n<p>This was stated at the Third Annual Conference of the China-Indonesia\nTVET Industry-Education Alliance (CITIEA) 2026, held at the Innovation\nand Creativity Hall, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, on Monday, 27\nApril 2026. \u201cBut it should also be able to create new job opportunities\nand benefits for society. This is what we need to promote: link, match,\nand meaning,\u201d he said in an official statement on Tuesday, 28 April\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>Pratikno appreciated the strengthening of cooperation between\nIndonesia and China in vocational and industrial fields as a strategic\nstep in preparing superior human resources capable of addressing global\ndisruptions. He emphasised that collaboration between vocational\neducation institutions and industry, both domestically and with\ninternational partners, is key to enhancing the relevance of workforce\nskills to the evolving world of work.<\/p>\n<p>He also highlighted various global disruptions being faced, from\ndigital technology and artificial intelligence developments, climate\nchange, to geopolitical dynamics. According to him, these conditions\nmust be viewed as opportunities to drive stronger innovation and\ncollaboration between education and industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTechnological disruptions, climate change, and geopolitics must be\nseen not only as challenges, but as opportunities for higher education\ninstitutions to work with industry to find solutions to the problems\nfaced by society,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In the agricultural sector, for example, innovation is greatly needed\nto maintain productivity amid uncertain climate change. Additionally,\nthe utilisation of digital technology and artificial intelligence should\nbe directed towards improving societal welfare, including assisting\nfarmers and fishermen, as well as expanding access to education services\nin remote areas.<\/p>\n<p>On that occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed\nbetween state polytechnics in Indonesia and China to strengthen\ncollaboration in education, research, and academic development. This\ncooperation includes the exchange of lecturers and students, joint\nresearch, the organisation of scientific activities, as well as academic\nand cultural programmes to enhance human resource capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees at the event included Special Staff of the Ministry of\nHigher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek) Oki\nEarlivan Sampurno, Chinese diplomatic representative in Indonesia Chen\nWu, Rector of Gadjah Mada University Ova Emilia, Director of Indonesian\nPolytechnics Ahyar Muhammad Diah, Chair of CITIEA Qiu Fuming, President\nDirector of Liugong Machinery Indonesia Levi Lin, and Foreign Minister\nfrom 2001-2009 Hasan Wirajuda.<\/p>",
