Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment (Menko PM) Muhaimin\nIskandar has launched the Perintis Berdaya Connect (PBC) programme in\nBatu, East Java. The initiative is part of efforts to integrate\nstrategies aimed at helping MSMEs move up the value chain.<\/p>\n
Muhaimin said the PBC programme represents a collective effort to\nsupport the development of MSMEs towards becoming independent, robust,\ninnovative and competitive.<\/p>\n
\u201cPerintis Berdaya Connect in Batu is part of our efforts to continue\nencouraging MSMEs to move up the value chain. For productive\ncollaboration, each region certainly differs in how it nurtures and\npromotes MSME growth,\u201d said Cak Imin, as Muhaimin Iskandar is commonly\nknown, in Batu on Wednesday, 26 August 2026.<\/p>\n
He stated that within this programme the government can play various\nroles, namely as an aggregator, facilitator and bridge to expand\nbusiness access for MSME players.<\/p>\n
Cak Imin said that through the PBC programme the government is also\ncontinuing to make it easier for business actors to gain access to raw\nmaterials, capital, marketing and technology in order to develop their\nbusiness scale. All these components are an important part of creating\nand nurturing the MSME ecosystem in the regions, including Batu.<\/p>\n
He even believes that if this concept is implemented consistently, it\nis not impossible that Batu could become a model region for MSME\ndevelopment.<\/p>\n
In addition, he said PBC is a government step to boost the growth of\nthe national creative economy sector through the regions. \u201cWe must\ncertainly open the doors as wide as possible and be proactive towards\npotential and creative businesses so that they can be elevated,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Cak Imin also highlighted the operational pattern of the Integrated\nBusiness Service Centre for Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium\nEnterprises (PLUT-KUMKM) facility in Batu, which he assessed as having\nbeen running optimally.<\/p>\n
He said the PLUT-KUMKM in Batu does not only operate when certain\nevents are held, but consistently provides regular and sustainable\nmentoring to business actors.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis deserves to be a model and example.
