        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop) is encouraging cooperatives\nwith quality products to meet international quality standards and\ncertifications in order to expand their markets and break into\nexports.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Minister of Cooperatives Farida Farichah said meeting\nstandards and certifications is one of the things cooperatives need to\nprepare in order to enter the global market.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe encourage cooperatives whose product quality is already good;\nthey just need to fulfil the certification prerequisites, which are then\nserved and assisted by the Ministry of Cooperatives so they meet those\nstandards,\u201d Farida said, as quoted from a press statement in Jakarta on\nSunday.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Cooperatives recorded that there are 222,462\ncooperatives in Indonesia, including 30,817 producer cooperatives.<\/p>\n<p>According to Farida, data collection and mentoring of cooperatives in\nvarious regions show that there are still a number of challenges to\nincreasing cooperative business capacity, including the quality of human\nresources, financing and market access.<\/p>\n<p>She said that to expand market access, the ministry is presenting a\nnumber of assisted cooperatives at the international China-Indonesia\nInternational E-Commerce Industry Expo 2026 at JIExpo Kemayoran,\nJakarta, on 3\u20135 September.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, the event is an opportunity for cooperatives to\nintroduce their products while building networks with potential\nconsumers and other business players.<\/p>\n<p>Farida expressed hope that cooperatives whose products have met the\nstandards can take advantage of international promotion access and\nnetworks to expand their markets abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, cooperatives that are not yet ready to export, she\ncontinued, can use the international exhibition as a means of learning\nand preparing their business capacity.<\/p>\n<p>She also encouraged cooperatives that have successfully become\nexporters to help open access for other cooperatives that are just about\nto enter the global market.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf they have already entered the global market and become exporters,\nthey should be able to bring along their fellow cooperatives. So there\nis cooperation between cooperatives that already export and cooperatives\nthat are just about to enter the global market,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>She said the ministry continues to encourage strengthening\ncooperative capacity through mentoring, financing access, certification\nfulfilment, and opening international market networks so that more\ncooperatives are able to improve their product competitiveness.<\/p>",
