Cooking oil stocks at the Bulog (Logistics Affairs Agency) warehouse
in NTB stand at approximately 307,000 litres, estimated to be sufficient
to meet public demand until March 2026.

Mara Kamin Siregar, head of Perum Bulog’s regional office in NTB,
assured the availability of basic commodities at Bulog warehouses,
ranging from rice to cooking oil, ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

“Alhamdulillah, our stocks are sufficiently secure,” he said on
Wednesday, 25 February 2026.

Siregar, commonly known as Regar, explained that Bulog NTB has
procured additional cooking oil from Surabaya to strengthen regional
reserves. This measure is intended to anticipate increased demand during
Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.

“We are restocking from Surabaya. So there is no price surge, with
both rice and oil remaining at normal prices,” he explained.

Bulog is also monitoring cooking oil prices in the market,
particularly the government-regulated MinyaKita brand with its maximum
retail price (HET) cap. Regar stressed that cooking oil distributed by
Bulog is sold in accordance with government regulations.

“The cooking oil supplied by Bulog is priced according to
regulations. If there is a slightly higher price, it usually comes from
other distributors,” he said.

Beyond cooking oil, rice stocks in NTB are also abundant. Currently,
rice reserves at Bulog warehouses reach approximately 156,000
tonnes.

Regar added that medium-grade rice prices through the Food Supply and
Price Stabilisation Programme (SPHP) are set at Rp12,500 per kilogramme.
Meanwhile, Bulog continues procurement of rice across all regencies and
municipalities in NTB.

“We continue procurement in all regencies and municipalities. Several
sites have already begun harvesting, although not simultaneously,” he
stated.

With available stocks and ongoing procurement processes, Bulog is
optimistic that public demand during Ramadan through Eid al-Fitr, and
even several months thereafter, will be adequately met.

“We ensure stocks are secure through the next year. For Ramadan and
Eid al-Fitr, supplies are certainly sufficient,” Regar affirmed.

Bulog NTB, together with local government and law enforcement
authorities, will continue coordinating to maintain supply and price
stability, whilst anticipating potential demand surges during
Ramadan.
",
