        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - A video circulating on social media shows a receipt for\npurchasing Pertamina\u2019s Pertalite fuel. The consumer questions the true\nprice of Pertalite.<\/p>\n<p>In the video reposted by the Instagram account <span class=\"citation\" data-cites=\"cobisnis\">@cobisnis<\/span>, the receipt is from the\nJakarta-Merak Toll Road fuel station. The receipt lists the unsubsidised\nprice of Pertalite at Rp 16,088.<\/p>\n<p>That price is then subsidised by the government by Rp 6,088. Thus,\nthe public only needs to pay Rp 10,000 per litre.<\/p>\n<p>The video recorder questions why the unsubsidised price of Pertalite\nis higher than Pertamax. Currently, Pertamax, referred to as a\nnon-subsidised fuel, is priced at Rp 12,300 per litre.<\/p>\n<p>Pertamina Patra Niaga\u2019s Corporate Secretary, Roberth MV Dumatubun,\nstated that the current price of Pertamax at Rp 12,300 per litre is not\nthe real economic price or market reference.<\/p>\n<p>Roberth added that the term subsidy can be used easily. Because\nPertamax is a non-subsidised fuel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPrecisely, it is the difference between the economic price or market\nprice versus the selling price at the fuel station that is temporarily\nborne by the government,\u201d said Roberth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is to maintain purchasing power and keep the wheels of the\neconomy turning for the public,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>However, Roberth did not answer when asked what the true price of\nPertamax is. He only mentioned that other types of Pertamina fuel have\nprice differences that are not much different.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is certain (the price of Pertamax) is above that. The logic is\nlike this, Pertamax, Pertamax Green, Pertamax Turbo, they are RON 92,\n95, 98, yeah, the price differences are slim,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
